Khai Khai partners with Fenwick to bring world class Indian flavours to the Food Hall from 12 April.

The city’s newest restaurant – which boasts a unique fire and smoke cooking style – will be taking up residence in Fenwick Food Hall from 12 April, when the Northumberland Street department store re-opens its doors.

Despite only being open since early December last year, Khai Khai has made a huge impact on the Newcastle food scene at its Queen Street branch, and Fenwick has taken notice.

In the Food Hall, Khai Khai will be offering their new ‘Fire it Up @ Home’ range and ‘on the go’ salads.  Customers can pick up premium, smoke-infused small plates, curries, fresh sides and a dessert to reheat at home.

Jane Matthews, Business Development Manager said:

“Across Britain, Indian food has become a mainstay of consumer meal choices, whether in the form of takeaway food, chilled ready meals or the dining out experience. At Khai Khai we’re pushing boundaries with all three. With our Fire it up @ Home range, you can bring the incredible flavours of Khai Khai alive in your home at a time that suits you.”

KHAI KHAI X FENWICK MENU

“We are delighted to be working with Fenwick. It’s a great fit, two high end, quality brands coming together. Fenwick has been operating in Newcastle since 1882 and since then they have achieved icon status, for them to recognise Khai Khai at such an early stage is a real honour.”

Kieran McBride, Store Director, Fenwick Newcastle: “We are delighted to be welcoming Khai Khai to our Food Hall upon reopening. We’ve been working hard to make the store look it’s best and will reopen with a host of new experiences, new brands launches & services, and pop-ups from local businesses, producers and artisans we admire. Khai Khai fit the bill on this perfectly and we are excited for our customers to enjoy what they do as much as we do.”

Khai Khai Fire it up @ Home will be available in Fenwick Food Hall from Monday 12 April.
